We are dedicated to promoting inclusion for autistic children and young people by providing targeted advice and specialist training to educational settings, parents and caregivers. We also offer services to a diverse range of organisations in both the public and private sectors to increase autism awareness. Located in Peterborough, we offer both in-person services locally and online services nationally.
Welcome! I’m Jenny Lowey, Director of IMPACT: Autism Consultancy & Training Ltd. I’m a qualified teacher with a PGCE and a Master’s in Education (Autism), and I bring over 15 years of experience in SEND and inclusive education. My career spans specialist autism schools, mainstream settings, and advisory roles within the Local Authority. Alongside IMPACT: Autism Consultancy & Training Ltd., I also work as a Senior Specialist Teacher for Cambridgeshire County Council’s SEND Service, where I provide strategic support, training, and guidance to SENDCOs across the county.
I am deeply committed to promoting educational inclusion. My consultancy offers tailored autism training and strategic guidance to schools and educational organisations to empower autistic children and young people to flourish. I am particularly passionate about improving recognition and support for autistic girls in education. All consultancy work is underpinned by robust safeguarding, data protection, and service-level policies.
IMPACT: Autism Consultancy & Training Ltd. also works with public and private sector organisations to improve autism awareness and inclusive practice in adult services. Recognising the increased challenges autistic adults often face—such as mental health difficulties, social isolation, and barriers to employment—I work with organisations to raise awareness and foster more inclusive, supportive environments. This includes helping teams develop accessible practices, review recruitment processes, and embed strategies that improve outcomes and quality of life for autistic individuals accessing their services.
In 2023, I received my own autism diagnosis. This personal journey has deepened my understanding of neurodiversity and strengthened my commitment to inclusive practice. I aim to use both professional expertise and lived experience to support others navigating similar paths. I’ve also been a volunteer listener with Peterborough Samaritans since 2006, where I oversee safeguarding training for the local branch. This role continues to shape my empathetic, reflective approach to supporting individuals and organisations.
Please note: due to my current Local Authority role, I am unable to take on individual casework for parents or schools in Cambridge City and surrounding areas.
